China’s Ministry of Commerce reported that overall transactions in the world’s biggest e-commerce marketplace exceeded RMB 13 trillion ($2 trillion). China’s digital retail industry took over the US’s in 2013 and continued to grow by 25% in 2014. The growth of m-commerce was even greater: it increased by almost 50% last year. The importance of mobile focused user experience is now ultimately carved in stone as statistics show that the purchases made on mobile devices were 67 seconds faster than on PCs.
